Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 18A:18A-49
- Board: means the board of education. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
- Department: means the State Department of Education. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:1-1
- District: means and includes any local school district, consolidated school district, regional school district, county vocational school and any other board of education or other similar body other than the State board, established under the provisions of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. See New Jersey Statutes 18A:18A-2
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
18A:18A-49. The board of education of a school district shall be required to secure the approval of its final plans and specifications as required by the State Uniform Construction Code for the erection or alteration of any school building or vocational school building or any part thereof by the Bureau of Facility Planning Services in the Department of Education or an appropriately licensed municipal code official.
