- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 2. Except as provided by section 6 of P.L.1971, c.437 (C. 9:6-8.13), a person who discloses or willfully permits the disclosure of information provided by a pupil in violation of the provisions of section 1 of this act is subject to a fine of not more than $500 for a first offense and not more than $5,000 for a second and each subsequent offense. The penalty shall be collected and enforced in summary proceedings under “the penalty enforcement law” (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.).
