Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 26:2-95
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The State Department of Health shall establish a program for the care and treatment of children suffering from terminal illnesses. This program shall assist children suffering from such illnesses who require lifesaving care and treatment therefor, but whose parents or guardian are unable to pay for such services on a continuing basis.
