Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 26:2S-5.1
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
1. a. A carrier shall provide to subscribers written informational materials about organ and tissue donation and registration at each contract renewal. The materials shall be developed or approved by a federally designated organ procurement organization, and shall inform subscribers as to how to make an anatomical gift, including information on the registration of a gift in the Donate Life New Jersey registry.
b. For purposes of this section, “carrier,” as defined in P.L.1997, c.192 (C. 26:2S-1 et al.), shall also include the State Health Benefits Program and the School Employees’ Health Benefits Program.
