- Central authority: means the entity designated by the United States or a foreign country described in paragraph (4) of subsection e. See New Jersey Statutes 2A:4-30.184
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- United States central authority: means the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. See New Jersey Statutes 2A:4-30.184
63. Relationship of the State IV-D agency to United States central authority.
The State IV-D Agency or its designee is recognized as the agency designated by the United States central authority to perform specific functions under the Convention.
