- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Any person who willfully violates this act shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than $200.00 nor more than $500.00 for the first offense, and not less than $500.00 nor more than $1,000.00 for the second or any subsequent offense, to be sued for and recovered by and in the name of the division in a summary proceeding in accordance with the penalty enforcement law (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.). Each tent or sleeping bag sold or exposed for sale shall constitute a separate violation.
