Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2A:37-2
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
If the judgment shall be for the state, a writ shall issue out of the superior court to the sheriff of the county, commanding him to seize and take into his hands the real estate adjudged to have escheated to the state.
