Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 30:4-25.3
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Human Services. See New Jersey Statutes 30:1-1
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. - State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
15. Promptly on receipt of the application for determination of eligibility for admission to functional services of the Division of Developmental Disabilities, the commissioner shall determine the state of developmental disability and need for functional services. Such determination shall be made under rules promulgated by the commissioner. Any person with a developmental disability who makes such application or on whose behalf application is made and who is found to require functional services of the Division of Developmental Disabilities shall be declared eligible subject to the person’s and his legally chargeable relatives’ compliance with the provisions of section 5 of P.L.1995, c.155 (C. 30:4-25.9).
