Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 30:8-63
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 3. As used in this act:
“Commission” means the Juvenile Justice Commission established pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1995, c.284 (C. 52:17B-170).
“Juvenile offender” means a person under the age of 18 who has been adjudicated delinquent for an act which, if committed by an adult, would constitute a crime of the third or fourth degree, excluding an adjudication for any act which would constitute a crime under chapter 14 of Title 2C of the New Jersey Statutes.
