- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 2. a. Any person who operates a boat on Greenwood Lake without a permit as required pursuant to subsection b. of section 1 of P.L.2009, c.310 (C. 32:20A-5.1) shall be liable to a summons from the New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey State Park Police, a State conservation police officer, or a sworn New Jersey law enforcement officer, and payment of up to a $500 penalty per violation, which may be assessed in municipal court.
b. For any penalty collected pursuant to this section, 50 percent thereof shall be provided to the entity issuing the summons and 50 percent shall be deposited into the “Greenwood Lake Commission Fund” established pursuant to section 1 of P.L.2009, c.310 to be used only for the purposes of the fund established by law.
