Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 34:1B-358
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
94. The New Jersey Ignite Program is hereby established as a program under the jurisdiction of the authority. The purpose of the program shall be to foster early stage innovation economy businesses and to help those businesses overcome barriers to commercial success. The authority shall structure the program as a public-private partnership through which the authority provides start-up rent grants to collaborative workspaces, certified pursuant to section 95 of P.L.2020, c.156 (C. 34:1B-359), to support the early months of an early stage innovation economy business’s rent at the collaborative workspace.
