- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. - State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
b. The chief shall act upon any application for a license within 30 days after receiving it, except that the director may extend the maximum time for acting upon an application to 60 days for the purpose of allowing an applicant to submit additional information or if a hearing on an application is required.
c. The director shall provide for the issuance of, and shall prescribe the form for, the licenses to be issued pursuant to this act.
d. An employment agency license shall not be transferred by the licensee to another person or amended without the written consent of the director and the payment of the fee prescribed by this act.
e. All licenses shall expire on January 1 of the year following their issuance.
