- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. The special permit shall be sufficient license for the person to operate a dual pedal controlled motor vehicle in this State during the period specified, while in the company of and under the control of a teacher, certified by the State Department of Education as authorized to instruct in an approved behind-the-wheel automobile driving education course or a duly licensed instructor of a drivers’ school, or while in the company of a representative of the Division of Motor Vehicles for the purpose of submitting to examination for a driver’s license. Such person, as well as the said teacher or instructor, shall be held accountable for all violations of subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes and any supplements thereto committed by such person while in the presence of the teacher or instructor.
