Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 39:3-69.1
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. b. A person convicted of a first motor vehicle violation pursuant to subsection a. of this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than $250 or more than $500 and shall not be assessed any motor vehicle penalty points pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1982, c.43 (C. 39:5-30.5).
c. A person convicted of a second motor vehicle violation pursuant to subsection a. of this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than $500 or more than $750 and shall not be assessed any motor vehicle penalty points pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1982, c.43 (C. 39:5-30.5).
d. A person convicted of a third or subsequent motor vehicle violation pursuant to subsection a. of this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than $750 or more than $1,000 and shall be assessed two motor vehicle penalty points pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1982, c.43 (C. 39:5-30.5).
