- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. a. Any person requested to supply the compressed or liquified gaseous fuel for any vehicle covered under this act shall refuse to provide the fuel unless the vehicle for which the fuel is intended displays the label required herein.
b. Any person who violates subsection a. of this section shall be liable for a penalty of $25.00 for the first offense and $50.00 for each subsequent offense which may be collected in accordance with “the penalty enforcement law” (N.J.S. 2A:58-1 et seq.) by the Attorney General.
