Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 39:4-14.3h

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Any person under the age of 17 who commits a second violation of the provisions of P.L.1975, c. 250 (C. 39:4-14.3) or P.L.1977, c. 267 (C. 39:4-14.3a et seq.) or any other provision of chapter 4 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes shall have his privilege to operate a motorized bicycle suspended for a period of 30 days from the date of conviction. For a subsequent violation a person shall have his privilege to operate a motorized bicycle suspended until he reaches the age of 17.
