Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 40:66-2
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Solid waste: means garbage, refuse, and other discarded materials resulting from industrial, commercial and agricultural operations, and from domestic and community activities, and shall include all other waste materials including liquids, except for solid animal and vegetable wastes collected by swine producers licensed by the State Department of Agriculture to collect, prepare and feed such wastes to swine on their own farms. 40:66-2. The governing body may, subject to the provisions of P.L.1970, c.39 (C. 13:1E-1 et seq.), erect the necessary buildings and equip the same with all appliances proper for the disposal of solid waste, and acquire the real estate necessary therefor by purchase, gift or condemnation. Such buildings may be erected on any real estate owned by the municipality suitable for the purpose.
