- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. The State board shall, upon application to it and payment of the prescribed fee, issue a State master plumber’s license without examination to any person who held a plumber’s license issued by a municipality, local board of health or other agency for at least five years prior to the effective date of this 1987 amendatory and supplementary act and who demonstrates to the board’s satisfaction that the experience qualifies the applicant to fulfill the responsibilities of a master plumber. Application pursuant to this section shall be made within six months of the effective date of this amendatory and supplementary act.
