- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. The State board shall, upon application to it and the payment of the prescribed fee, issue a State master plumber’s license without examination to any person who, within 6 months following the effective date of this act, submits satisfactory evidence that he has been employed or engaged in the business of plumbing for 5 years prior to the date of his application for a State license. The persons entitled to State license under this provision of this act shall comply with the remaining provisions of this act.
