- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. - Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
The chairperson shall preside at all board meetings and perform all duties prescribed by law or board regulations. The vice-chairperson shall preside if the chairperson is absent or temporarily unable to discharge the duties of the chairperson, or the position of chairperson becomes vacant. The board shall meet at least once every two months in person or through remote technologies and may hold additional meetings as necessary to discharge its duties. The board shall publish a meeting schedule one year in advance and provide thirty days’ notice of any changes thereto. A majority of the board membership shall constitute a quorum. The minutes of meetings, upon approval of the board shall constitute the official records of board meetings. The unapproved minutes of meetings shall be recorded and open to public inspection in the board office and posted publicly to the board website during normal business hours within ten business days of their recordation.
