- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. No trading stamp company shall distribute trading stamps in this State or shall redeem trading stamps hereafter issued therein until it has on or before January 1, 1966, and annually thereafter on or before January 1 of each year filed with the Secretary of State a statement of registration accompanied by representative samples of its stamps, stamp collection books, stamp redemption catalogues and stamp distribution and redemption agreement forms, currently used in this State. No person shall act as agent or representative in this State of a trading stamp company which has not complied with the requirements of this chapter.
