- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 6. a. No person shall engage in the practice of counseling as a licensed professional counselor or licensed associate counselor or represent or hold himself out as a licensed professional counselor or licensed associate counselor unless licensed pursuant to this act. No person licensed as a professional counselor or an associate counselor shall engage in the practice of rehabilitation counseling unless licensed as a rehabilitation counselor pursuant to this amendatory and supplementary act.
b. No person shall engage in the practice of rehabilitation counseling as a licensed rehabilitation counselor or represent or hold himself out as a licensed rehabilitation counselor unless licensed pursuant to this amendatory and supplementary act. No person licensed as a rehabilitation counselor shall engage in the practice of professional counseling unless licensed as a professional counselor pursuant to section 7 of P.L.1993, c.340 (C. 45:8B-40).
