- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 24. No person other than a natural person shall be licensed as, hold itself out to be licensed as, or practice as, a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant. Every physical therapist or physical therapist assistant employed by a corporation or other business entity shall assume professional responsibility for the practice of physical therapy or acting as a physical therapist assistant that is provided under the auspices of the corporation or other business entity. The board shall establish regulations to effectuate the provisions of this section, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, a statement of the responsibilities of licensees under this section.
