- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 17. Upon payment to the director of a fee and the submission of a written application on forms provided by the director, the director shall issue a temporary license to a person who has applied for licensure pursuant to this act and who, in the judgment of the director, in consultation with the council, is eligible for licensure pursuant to section 11 or section 12 of this act. A temporary license shall be available to an applicant with his initial application for examination and he may practice only under the direct supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. A temporary license shall expire automatically upon the holder being notified of failure of the licensure examination. The temporary license may be renewed for an additional period until the results of the next licensure examination at which time it shall automatically expire and be surrendered to the director.
