Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:12-41.9

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. No person receiving or purchasing milk or cream on the basis of its butter fat content shall use a weigh tank or container from which the butter fat sample is taken, that has any partition, division or strainer which may divide, in any way, either vertically or horizontally, into more than one section or compartment the volume of milk or cream from which such sample is taken. The contents of such weigh tank or container shall be agitated prior to sampling in a manner approved by the director to insure the taking of an accurate and representative sample.
