Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:22-29
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
4:22-29. The action for the penalty prescribed in R.S.4:22-26 shall be brought:
a. In the Superior Court; or
b. In a municipal court of the municipality wherein the defendant resides or where the offense was committed.
