- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Any person who shall, by himself or by his agent, or as the agent of another, violate any of the provisions of this act, shall upon conviction pay a penalty of not less than twenty-five ($25.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first offense, not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for the second offense, and not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the third or subsequent offense.
