3. The annual salary of the executive director of each full time legislative staff operating under the direction of the Senate President, the Speaker of the General Assembly, and the Minority Leaders of each House of the Legislature shall be fixed and established by the President of the Senate and by the Speaker of the General Assembly, as appropriate, for each director in any amount that the President or Speaker determines to be appropriate for that director, but shall not exceed $175,000 in calendar year 2018 and thereafter.
