- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. b. The New Jersey Legislature may accept monetary donations, that shall be deposited into the New Jersey Legislative Youth Council Fund, from public and private sources to support the activities of the council. A monetary donation shall not be accepted from any person or entity with a pecuniary or other vested interest in the outcome of the work of the council or when the donation would in any way compromise the work of the council. A person or entity who desires to make a monetary donation shall certify to the council or its designee, in the manner prescribed by the council, that the person or entity has no pecuniary or other vested interest in the outcome of the work of the council. Donations by a person or entity shall not exceed $500 per calendar year in the aggregate. Each donation shall be subject to approval by the council.
