- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The commissioner may accept, as agent of the State of New Jersey, any gift or grant for any of the purposes of this act, and any moneys so received may be expended for any purpose authorized by this act.
