- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 8. Any person desiring to secure immediate discharge of any lien may deposit with the court cash in sufficient amount to cover the amount of the lien or post a bond in an amount and with sureties to be approved by said court. Upon proper notice of this fact being given to the Attorney General a satisfaction of said lien shall be filed forthwith with the county clerk or register of deeds and mortgages as the case may be.
