Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 54:4-23.19
- assessor: when used in relation to the assessment of taxes or water rents or other public assessments, includes all officers, boards or commissions charged with the duty of making such assessments, unless a particular officer, board or commission is specified. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- taxing district: when used in a law relating to the assessment or collection of taxes, assessments or water rates or water rents, include every political division of the State, less than a county, whose inhabitants, governing body or officers have the power to levy taxes, assessments or rates. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The factual details to be shown on the assessor‘s tax list and duplicate with respect to land which is being valued, assessed and taxed under this act shall be the same as those set forth by the assessor with respect to other taxable property in the taxing district.
