- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The State Treasurer shall annually certify to the Governor and to the Legislature for inclusion in the annual State appropriations act under State aid for municipalities the amount necessary to meet the State’s annual obligation under this act.
