Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 5:8-64
- month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" means a calendar year. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 15. No later than the 15th day of the calendar month immediately following a calendar month in which any such game of chance was held, operated or conducted, the organization, association, church, congregation, society, club, fire company, first-aid or rescue squad, or senior citizen association or club which held, operated or conducted the same and its member or members who were in charge thereof shall furnish to the control commission a duly verified statement showing the amount of the gross receipts derived from each such game of chance held, operated or conducted in the preceding month, which shall include receipts from the sale of shares, tickets or rights in any manner connected with participation in said game or the right to participate therein, each item of expense incurred or paid, and each item of expenditure made or to be made, name and address of each person to whom each such item has been or is to be paid, with a detailed description of the merchandise purchased or the services rendered therefor, the net profit derived from each such game of chance, and the uses to which such net profit has been or is to be applied and a list of prizes offered or given, with the respective values thereof and it shall be the duty of each licensee to maintain and keep such books and records as may be necessary to substantiate the particulars of each such report.
