Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 9:23-1.1
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The Governor is authorized and directed to execute, with any other state or states legally joining in the same, an amendment to the Interstate Compact on Juveniles, which shall provide the remedies set forth in section 2 of this act in addition to those provided by P.L.1955, c. 55 or any other law, and shall be binding among and between those party states which execute the same.
