The school [New Mexico institute of mining and technology] officers shall be the same regents, be elected in the same manner and at the same time, and possess the same qualifications as the officers of the university of New Mexico, and the secretary and treasurer so elected shall give bond in the sum of ten thousand dollars [($10,000)] in the manner provided in Section 21-7-5 N.M.
