The canvass and certification of the results of an election held on the question of imposition of a public school capital improvements tax shall be as prescribed in the Local Election Act [N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 1, Article 22] and in addition to the reporting of results as required by the Election Code [Chapter 1, NMSA 1978], and a copy of the certificate of results shall be delivered immediately to the director.
