The provisions of the Genetic Information Privacy Act shall apply to genetic analysis performed and genetic information and gene products obtained after May 20, 1998, except that Section 24-21-4 N.M. Stat. Ann. and proceedings brought alleging violations of that section shall apply to genetic analysis whenever performed and genetic information and gene products whenever obtained.
