N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 12, in conjunction with N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 11, governs the qualifications and procedures for the licensing of insurance producers. N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 12 does not apply to surplus lines brokers that are licensed pursuant to N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 59A, Article 14 and that sell, solicit or negotiate insurance in this state solely for placement with eligible surplus lines insurers, except as provided in Sections 22 and 23 N.M. Stat. Ann. § 59A-11-23 and 59A-11-24 of this 2016 act.
