Upon finding that a person has violated the Liquor Control Act [60-3A-1 N.M. Stat. Ann.] and after appeal or, in the event no appeal is taken, upon the expiration of the time during which an appeal could have been taken, the director may refuse to accept any affirmation required to be filed by such person for a period not to exceed three months.

- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
