A violation of the above statute [67-8-13 N.M. Stat. Ann.] shall constitute a misdemeanor, and shall be punishable by fine of not less than fifty dollars [($50.00)], and not more than two hundred dollars [($200)], or by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than three months, and not more than six months, or both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.
