Every person failing or refusing to pay his share for such purpose after he has been notified by the mayordomo, shall forfeit his right to use the water of such ditch, or shall be deprived of the use of such water until he pays his share as provided in Section 5773 [73-2-44 N.M. Stat. Ann.].
