The court shall fix the time for hearing upon said petition, shall order the clerk of the court to publish notice of the filing of such petition, which shall be published for the time and in the manner hereinbefore provided with reference to all notices required to be published under this act N.M. Stat. Ann. § 73-8-1 to 73-8-60. The notice shall designate the time and place fixed for hearing upon the petition, shall embody the substance of the prayer of the petition and shall notify any and all persons interested in the organization of the district, or in the proceedings for the issuance or deposit of the bonds or in any such other proceedings as may be in question on or before the date fixed for such hearing, to appear, demur or answer the petition. Such petition may be referred to and described in the notice as “The petition of the Board of Directors of . . . . . . . . . Drainage District” (giving its name), praying that the proceedings for the issuance and deposit of bonds of the district, or for the authorization of contract with the United States, or for the determination of the rate of drainage benefits under contract with the United States or for the ascertainment and assessment of damages to district lands under drainage works, as the case may be, may be examined, approved and confirmed by the court.
