Cotton boll weevil control committees are exempt from the provisions of the Procurement Code N.M. Stat. Ann. § 13-1-28 to 13-1-199, and the Personnel Act [N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 10, Article 9]. The committee members and committee employees are public employees for the purposes of the Tort Claims Act N.M. Stat. Ann. § 41-4-1 to 41-4-27 and shall be provided all insurance and self-insurance coverage provided by the risk management division of the general services department.
