In addition to the damage as provided for in Section 77-16-14 N.M. Stat. Ann., the person violating the provisions of that section is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction before any magistrate shall be fined in a sum not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000).
