§ 209-g. Notice of abandonment. The proprietor of a name registered as provided in this article, may file a written notice of abandonment thereof, subscribed and acknowledged by such proprietor in each public office in which the name is registered, and thereupon all rights of the subscriber of such notice acquired by the registration of such name pursuant to this article shall be extinguished, and the provisions thereof which prohibit the use of the same or a similar name shall no longer apply.
