§ 738. Actions for damages. Any employee or prospective employee damaged as the result of a violation of any of the provisions of this article shall be entitled to file an action for damages in the supreme court of this state.
Terms Used In N.Y. Labor Law 738
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Employee: means an individual employed by an employer. See N.Y. Labor Law 733
- Prospective employee: means an individual seeking or being sought for employment with an employer. See N.Y. Labor Law 733
