§ 2639. Conflicts of interest. No member of the board of directors or officer or employee of the commission shall have any interest in any contract, or take any action or otherwise involve himself or herself in any activity which, pursuant to Article 18 of the general municipal law, would be deemed a conflict of interest for a municipal officer or employee holding a position with a municipality similar to the position held by the member, officer or employee with the commission.

Terms Used In N.Y. Public Authorities Law 2639

  • Board: shall mean the members of the commission. See N.Y. Public Authorities Law 2631
  • Commission: shall mean the Hudson-Mohawk urban cultural park commission created pursuant to section two thousand six hundred thirty-two of this title. See N.Y. Public Authorities Law 2631
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Municipality: shall mean the cities of Troy, Cohoes and Watervliet, the town of Waterford and the villages of Green Island and Waterford. See N.Y. Public Authorities Law 2631

It shall not be deemed a conflict of interest for a person to simultaneously hold positions as a member and as an officer of the commission.
