§ 3101. Purposes of the corporation. The purposes of the corporation shall be to encourage and promote:

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
1. Scientific and technological education in the state; and
2. Basic and applied research and development in the state.
3. The development of new commercial products and the fabrication of such products in the state.
The corporation shall encourage and promote cooperative efforts among government, the private sector, and universities and colleges in the state, for these purposes.
