§ 2803-h. Health related facility; pet therapy programs. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, rule or regulation to the contrary, and subject to the approval of the commissioner, every residential health care facility, as defined in section twenty-eight hundred one of this article, may, at the discretion of such facility, board animals in such facility where such boarding would, in the determination of the commissioner and such facility, tend to promote the general well-being of the residents of such facility. The commissioner shall adopt rules and regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this section.
